Operations Excellence Manager

The role is pivotal to the site's leadership team, overseeing operational activities across Supply Chain, Production, and Compliance.
Key Responsibilities- Lead a skilled workforce in Supply Chain and Production, fostering a quality-driven mindset and teamwork culture.
- Manage and continuously improve Operations functions, including Quality, Supply Chain, Production, and Logistics.
- Oversee the entire manufacturing process from raw materials to customer delivery, ensuring supplier qualifications and service provider management.
- Develop strategic plans for operational growth and efficiency, aligned with corporate objectives.
- Manage financial aspects of manufacturing processes, including capital investments.
- Drive initiatives to enhance quality, reduce waste, boost service levels, and improve financial performance.
- Champion 100% Quality and On-Time-In-Full delivery.
- Develop EHS policies and procedures, ensuring compliance with relevant legislation.
- Conduct risk assessments, hazard identification, incident investigations, and promote a positive safety culture.
- Monitor and report on EHS performance, maintaining a high level of motivation and willingness to learn.
- Manage Trade Compliance, including Moog AEO, EAR, ITAR, BAFA & DEC products and applications.
- Support licensing applications, write policies and procedures, and provide training materials and regular staff updates.
- Liaise as the Empowered Officer with central export compliance functions worldwide.
- Monitor Australian regulations for embargoed countries/parties.
- Degree or master's in operations and/or Supply Chain, preferably with Lean or Six Sigma Certification.
- 10+ years' work experience, ideally in a multinational organization and heavily regulated manufacturing company.
- 6-10 years' experience as a Production Manager, Operations Manager, or Supply Chain Manager.
- Strong knowledge of Australian EHS regulations and standards.
- Proficiency with MS Office Suite.
- Excellent communication, training, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with strong attention to detail and analytical skills.
Reasonable domestic travel and occasional overseas travel, approximately 10%.
