Clinical Support Specialist

Our client requires experienced Clinicians to work in their 24/7 Contact Centre, providing mental health support and services to individuals and families. The role involves triaging and coordinating intakes and referrals of clients to the regions for allocation to services. This includes referrals of individuals, couples, families, and complex cases via multiple pathways.

  1. Provide high-quality clinical services, including assessment and referral, evidence-based individual, couple, and family counselling, and case management to eligible clients to achieve identified outcomes in care planning processes.

  2. Deliver specialised counselling intervention tools and models dependent on client needs and ensure work is carried out to a high standard of professionalism, efficiency, and effectiveness.

  3. Ensure risk assessment and safety planning are completed during intake calls, and appropriate follow-up action is taken.

  4. Apply quality assurance principles and procedures to ensure clinical practice, reporting, and invoicing activities meet contractual requirements.

  5. Participate in ongoing learning and development activities and maintain professional status.

Requirements

  • Qualifications as a registered Psychologist, Mental Health Occupational Therapist, or Mental Health Registered Nurse with full registration or qualification as a Social Worker eligible for membership of the AASW and eligibility for Mental Health accreditation.
  • A Masters level Counselling qualification and registration with PACFA as a Registered Clinical Counsellor or with ACA at Level 3 or 4.
  • Working with Children (WWC) and/or Vulnerable People Checks/Clearance must be obtained prior to commencement.
  • Flexibility to work within a 24/7 roster.
  • Must be available to commence on short notice.
  • An Australian Citizen and willing to undertake a National Police Clearance.
