Job Description

Our organization is seeking a strategic and collaborative leader to join our health and safety team as Manager, H&S Strategy, Risk and Systems. This role is key to shaping the future of health and safety across the business.

This individual will be responsible for overseeing enterprise-wide health and safety risk, supporting business units in managing their operational risks, and ensuring these efforts aggregate into a cohesive and mature risk profile.

The successful candidate will also lead the development and continuous improvement of our health and safety management system—both in structure and digital application—ensuring it remains user-friendly, certified, and fit for purpose.

Required Skills and Qualifications
  • Significant experience in a senior H&S role within utilities, infrastructure, services, or a similar industry.
  • Demonstrated experience in leading cultural change and implementing user-focused H&S systems.
  • Strong knowledge of risk-based H&S systems, assurance programs, and critical risk management.
  • Proven ability to engage and influence a wide range of stakeholders, from senior leaders to field workers.
  • Tertiary qualifications in Health & Safety, Environment, or a related field (preferred).
  • Additional qualifications in Risk Management, Project Management, or Change Management (desirable).
  • A solid understanding of Australian HSE legislative frameworks.
