Lead Workplace Health & Safety Specialist

We are seeking a skilled and experienced Lead Workplace Health & Safety Specialist to join our team. As a key member of our organization, you will play a critical role in ensuring the health, safety, and well-being of our employees, customers, and stakeholders.

Job Description

This is an exciting opportunity for a motivated and forward-thinking professional to take on the challenge of leading our workplace health and safety initiatives. You will be responsible for developing, implementing, and maintaining effective safety protocols and procedures that align with industry best practices and regulatory requirements.

As a leader in this field, you will work closely with cross-functional teams to identify and mitigate risks, develop training programs, and conduct regular audits and inspections to ensure compliance with relevant laws and regulations.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement comprehensive workplace health and safety policies and procedures
  • Conduct regular risk assessments and develop strategies to mitigate hazards

  • Conduct regular audits and inspections to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify and address safety concerns
Required Skills and Qualifications

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • Proven experience in workplace health and safety, ideally in a leadership or management capacity
  • Strong knowledge of relevant laws and regulations, including WHS legislation
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to analyze data and identify trends
  • Relevant qualifications in Work Health and Safety, Risk Management, or Compliance (Cert IV or higher)
