Manager Governance & Risk Services

 

This leadership role offers a unique opportunity to drive strategic governance and enterprise risk frameworks that lift organisational performance.

As Manager Governance & Risk Services, you will be a key architect of transformation, building frameworks, strengthening governance maturity, and embedding a culture of integrity that will shape Council's future.

You will report directly to the Director Corporate Services and work closely with the Executive Team, trusted to:

  • Drive strategic governance and enterprise risk frameworks that improve organisational performance.
  • Oversee Council's most important corporate documents.
  • Coordinate the Audit & Risk Committee and deliver targeted internal audit programs.
  • Lead business improvement initiatives that achieve real, measurable impact.

What qualifications and skills do you need?

Applicants will bring:

  • Tertiary qualifications in Governance, Law, Risk, or Public Administration.
  • A proven track record in governance, compliance, or business improvement, ideally with some exposure to local government.
  • Sharp analytical and reporting skills, paired with the ability to interpret complex legislation.
  • Outstanding communication and stakeholder skills – you know how to build trust and influence.
  • A genuine passion for public service and innovation.
