About This Role

The Gyprock Trade Centre Store Manager is a key position based at our Cairns, QLD store. As a full-time role, you will report to the Area Manager and be responsible for leading the team.

  • Job Description: Champion safety compliance, ensure the safety of the team, customers, and the public.
  • Conduct Site Safety Walks: Maintain a safe environment by conducting regular site safety walks.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Safety: Champion safety compliance and ensure the safety of the team, customers, and the public.
  2. Staff Management: Hire, train, and supervise employees to ensure excellent customer service and effective performance.
  3. Sales and Marketing: Oversee sales activities, promote the store and products, support marketing campaigns to increase traffic and sales, and support opening new accounts.
  4. Financial Management: Monitor the store's P&L performance and make decisions to improve profitability.

Requirements:

  • A proven track record of leadership experience.
  • A strong focus on safety and excellent communication skills.
  • Forklift licence is essential.
