About the Role:

As the Projects & Operations Lead, you will be the right-hand person to our Group Operations Manager. This role is about integrating software systems into the heart of our business, learning our products, and driving success from within.



You will be responsible for overseeing the implementation and management of key systems and projects across our network of businesses. Your responsibilities will be broad, but customer service will be at the forefront of everything you do.



Key Responsibilities:


  • Act as the 2IC to the Group Operations Manager
  • Manage and mentor a team, initially consisting of 4 direct reports, with growth potential as the business expands
  • Lead and oversee the implementation and management of software systems and projects, ensuring they are on time and within budget
  • Work closely with third parties and internal departments to meet project milestones and drive seamless operations
  • Handle estimation, budgeting, and proposals for new projects, presenting these to senior management for approval
  • Conduct site visits and provide training during project rollouts as required
  • Maintain and implement policies and processes across the operations department


About You:


  • Proven experience in a project management or operations role within a wholesale or distribution business
  • A strong understanding of software systems and their application within a business setting
  • People management experience with the ability to lead, support and engage team members effectively
  • A positive, empathetic approach to problem-solving and customer service
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Resilient, adaptable and organised, with the ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously
  • Proficient in Excel
  • Current drivers license
  • Full Australian working rights
