Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Capital Works Manager to lead our capital works programs, ensuring a safe, compliant, functional, and attractive operating environment for centres.

The successful candidate will have a strong background in program management, contract management, procurement processes, and negotiation. They will also possess excellent leadership skills, with the ability to manage cross-functional teams and drive results-driven initiatives.

Key responsibilities will include devising, implementing, and upholding program initiatives and design standards aligned with organisational objectives. The National Capital Works Manager will work closely with the National Facilities team and wider property team to ensure alignment and program of works is maintained and scheduled.

Additionally, the role will involve:

  • Developing and managing programs of work across multiple sites as part of the G8 renewal program.
  • Collaborating and partnering with cross-functional departments, whilst managing and prioritising project outcomes.
  • Attending sites and conducting worksite validation and inspections.

To be successful in this role, candidates should possess:

  • 10+ years of construction or building experience.
  • Tertiary qualification in construction, project management or related field desirable.
  • Demonstrated skills in program management of a substantial portfolio of capital works projects.
  • Demonstrated skills in contract management, procurement processes and negotiation.
  • Strong and collaborative leadership style with a proven record of managing cross-functional teams.
