
Panel Coordinator

Are you a highly skilled and experienced administrator seeking a new challenge? We are looking for a Secretariat Administrator to provide effective administrative and logistical support to our team.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide high-level administrative support, including arranging meetings and drafting agendas, minutes, correspondence, briefing notes, and guidelines for panel business
- Undertake research tasks on law and policy developments relating to the work of the panel and assist in the development of training material
- Support the development of workplans and internal governance mechanisms for the panel
- Facilitate internal communication amongst panel members and support preparation of external communications, such as public statements, reports and/or website content
- Develop and maintain detailed filing systems, spreadsheets, databases and other administrative systems to ensure proper administration and record keeping for the panel
- Arrange travel and accommodation for panel members in relation to official panel business
Requirements:
- Australian working rights or Australian citizenship
- Relevant tertiary qualification with subsequent relevant experience or equivalent competence gained through any combination of education, training and experience
- Experience relating to refugee and asylum policy issues and UN mechanisms
- Advanced time management, organisational and problem-solving skills, including the ability to meet deadlines
- Well-developed interpersonal, written and verbal communication skills, including proven capacity to communicate for different audiences and purposes and to work with people from culturally and linguistically diverse backgrounds or with other diverse groups
- Ability to develop relationships with key stakeholders and to adapt to different working styles
- Ability to make sound judgements and work both independently and as part of a team
- Demonstrated experience supporting and contributing to projects and initiatives
