About the role Council is currently seeking a highly organised and detail-oriented Planning Panels Coordinator to join our Development & Regulation team.
In this pivotal role, you will coordinate the administration of the Ku-ring-gai Local Planning Panel (KLPP) and provide essential support to the Sydney North Planning Panel (SNPP).
Your duties will include, but are not limited to: Coordinate and manage the end-to-end operation of the KLPPProvide high-level administrative support to KLPP and SNPP members and stakeholders Organise KLPP meetings, prepare agendas, take minutes, and manage distribution of reports and documentation Liaise with internal and external stakeholders, ensuring accurate and timely communication on panel processes and decisions Assist with logistics, including travel arrangements and expenses for panel members Support the Director of Development & Regulation and Manager Development Assessment Services through correspondence, reporting, and meeting follow-ups Contribute to the continuous improvement of departmental procedures and policies Required qualifications, skills & experience: Experience in office management or executive/committee support Knowledge and experience in development assessment, town planning or governance in a public sector setting Excellent administrative and coordination skills, including agenda preparation and minute-taking Demonstrated ability to manage multiple priorities and meet tight deadlines High-level computer literacy, including Microsoft Office, Info Council, Content Manager, Technology One or similar systems Strong interpersonal, written and verbal communication skills A professional and discreet approach when handling sensitive or confidential matters Tertiary qualifications in Business Administration, Project Management or a related discipline are preferred but not essential This is an excellent opportunity for someone with strong governance, stakeholder engagement, and administrative experience—especially in the local government or public sector—who thrives in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
