Job Title: Prosecutions Referral Officer

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated professional to join our team as a Prosecutions Referral Officer.

This is an exciting opportunity for individuals who want to make a difference in the community by delivering high-quality services through the Driver Referral Program (DRP).

The role involves managing existing fines, preventing future infringements, and reducing registration costs with Fines Victoria.

About the Role
  • Maintain accurate records and produce reports to support the delivery of the DRP.
  • Administer payment plans and attend court hearings to ensure compliance with legislation.
  • Respond to complex customer enquiries and provide guidance on improving internal processes and service delivery outcomes.
  • Contribute to the development of policies and procedures that promote positive culture and values within the organization.
Requirements
  • Demonstrate ability to articulate and demonstrate benefits of positive culture and City of Melbourne's iCare values - Integrity, Courage, Accountability, Respect, and Excellence.
  • Understanding and familiarity with the Magistrates' Court processes, procedures, and legislative requirements or the ability to quickly develop the knowledge required.
  • Excellent interpersonal, negotiation, and influencing skills to effectively communicate with customers and stakeholders.
  • Demonstrated skills in conflict resolution and the ability to remain calm, objective, and in control when dealing with customer issues and concerns.
  • Demonstrated high level of attention to detail and time management ability to meet deadlines and deliver quality results.
  • Proven skills in written communication, including the ability to produce quality documentation and reports.
