Urology Referral Coordination Specialist

As a specialist in urology referral coordination, you will play a crucial role in ensuring timely and complete processing of insurance referrals for patients. Your responsibilities will include oversight of the referral/authorization process, maintenance of policies and procedures, and efficient tracking of pending referrals.
Key Responsibilities- Develop and implement effective strategies to ensure timely scheduling and complete processing of eligibility and benefit verification.
- Maintain accurate records of all referrals, including current procedural terminology (CPT) and International Classification Diseases and Health Care Procedure Coding System (ICD-10).
- Promptly answer and direct incoming phone calls professionally and politely.
- A minimum of one-year experience in medical office pre-authorization and referral coordination.
- Knowledge of payer guidelines and regulatory requirements.
- Working knowledge of medical terminology, human relations, and analytical skills.
