  • This part-time casual role involves working as a skilled Service Engineer in a fast-paced environment. The successful candidate will be based in Perth, Australia.
">Key Responsibilities">
  1. Join the capable System Support team and complete tasks assigned by the Team Lead.
  2. Assist other engineers with projects, provide Obsolescence Reports and support, and assist in client reporting.
  3. Attend site as required and follow instructions while also taking initiative and contributing ideas.
  4. Be available to work on an ad-hoc basis with flexible hours and varied tasks.
  5. Support the help desk activities for remote and centralized maintenance activities.
  6. Proactively monitor signalling system component lifecycles and supply chain data to identify potential obsolescence issues.
  7. Collaborate with engineering, procurement, and supply chain teams for obsolescence management.
  8. Investigate and resolve complex obsolescence issues with minimal disruption to production and operations.
  9. Seek and implement innovative solutions to extend product lifespans and minimize obsolescence impact.
  10. Maintain obsolescence tracking tools and generate regular reports.
  11. Liaise with suppliers and manufacturers to anticipate lifecycle changes.
  12. Assist the team leader with internal and external reporting requirements.
  13. Participate in team meetings, workshops, and training initiatives.
  14. Ensure all activities comply with applicable HSE laws and policies, including reporting safety incidents per Company procedures.

  • A minimum of 5 years of experience in Railway Signalling System.
  • Bachelor's or master's degree in Electronics, Electrical, Computer Science, Software System, or relevant engineering discipline.
  • Product expertise in critical signalling wayside, onboard, and train control systems/equipment.
  • Familiarity with BOM management tools and obsolescence databases.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Good communication with effective stakeholder management and conflict resolution skills.
  • Excellent time management and professionalism.
