The Commonwealth Bank of Australia is one of the country's largest financial institutions, offering a wide range of services and solutions to our small to medium, enterprise customers and our regional and agribusiness customers. Our Business Banking division has accountability for Cash Management, Payments, Merchants, Business Lending, and Commerce Solutions, as well as delivery of analytical capabilities to support our business customers.
Key Responsibilities
- Leverage market insights to deliver recommendations for product enhancements and new offerings that meet customer needs and drive business growth.
- Lead the development and refinement of customer propositions through analysis of customer feedback, trends, and opportunities for improvement.
- Influence key product decisions and prioritization through compelling product performance insights, including financial, business, and customer experience metrics.
- Present and prepare product papers and reports to various governance forums, senior stakeholders, and leadership teams.
- Stay abreast of regulatory changes and lead the execution of necessary updates to ensure compliance.
- Manage complex product inquiries and complaints, providing excellent customer service and escalating issues where necessary.
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with key technical stakeholders across frontline, technology, risk, and operations.
Your Skills and Qualifications
- Demonstrated Product Management experience (5+ years) in financial services, with proven all-round product management skills, including project delivery, agile experience, portfolio monitoring, operational and credit risk experience.
- Minimum 2+ years of cards domain experience.
- Product development and delivery experience.
- A customer-obsessed mindset, with the ability to design solutions through a deep understanding of customer needs.
- Deep understanding of the end-to-end business lending process and credit policy.
- Exceptional written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills.
- Advanced stakeholder management skills, with a proven record of influencing senior leadership across Product, Distribution, and Risk Management.
- Advanced problem-solving capabilities, with the motivation and ability to investigate and provide recommended options/solutions to complex problems.
- Analytical mindset, with the ability to work with multiple data sources and generate relevant business insights and data-backed recommendations to improve performance and customer experience.
- A Risk Mindset – All CommBank employees are expected to proactively identify and understand, openly discuss, and act on current and future risks.
