Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Strategic Operations Director to lead our operations in the Eastern Province of Saudi Arabia. This role will be responsible for managing the Company, including personnel recruitment, procedures, and facilities, in accordance with the Board of Directors and long-term business plan.

Main Responsibilities
  1. Company Management: Oversee all aspects of the Company, including personnel recruitment, procedures, and facilities, ensuring alignment with the Board of Directors and long-term business plan.
  2. Representative: Represent the Company in interactions with authorities, regulatory agencies, lenders, banks, and professional organizations.
  3. Contract Execution: Ensure proper execution of commercial and financial contracts, identifying solutions to any arising issues in coordination with the Board of Directors.
  4. Liaison and Permitting: Obtain and maintain necessary permits and consents, keeping the Company informed of applicable changes in law and regulations.
  5. Safety Culture: Promote a safe company culture and envision, seek approval, and implement necessary steps for a business/operating mid-long-term plan.
Reporting Line and Job Responsibilities

The CEO will have a primary statutory reporting line to the Company's Board of Directors and interact closely with Company shareholders to benefit from their experience of business activity in KSA. Additionally, the CEO will report within Engie to the appropriate function within AMEA management.

Key Requirements
  • Experience: Minimum of 15 years in a senior position within the international power/energy sector.
  • Education: Degree in Civil/Mechanical/Electrical Engineering or university degree with a strong background in the energy sector.
  • Tech Knowledge: Relevant technological experience/understanding (e.g., process plant, water plant, CCGT, steam cycle, cogeneration, water production). 3rd parties relationship/contractual management and management of board meetings.
  • Skill Set: Strong interpersonal skills, negotiation, leadership, and management skills, as well as a good technical background/understanding.
Location and Travel

This role is based in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, Eastern Province, Dammam/Jubail area. Regular travel within KSA and occasional travel to Dubai or elsewhere in GCC is expected.
