Occupational Health and Safety Specialist

At the forefront of workplace safety, we seek a skilled and experienced EHS professional to partner with operational leaders in managing EHS risk through the implementation of robust management systems and programs.
This role involves fostering a proactive safety culture by influencing operational leaders and team members to adopt best practices and behaviors.
The ideal candidate will possess relevant work experience in EHS, accompanied by relevant qualifications in Occupational Health and Safety or equivalent.
A strong analytical mind with the ability to interpret data and initiate recommendations is essential for this role.
Additionally, the candidate should be able to engage effectively with stakeholders and demonstrate excellent communication skills.
A good understanding of industry-related sectors and proven ability to organize competing demands and priorities are also required.
- Influence and partner with operational leaders and team members to encourage best practises and behaviours.
- Collaborate with the EHST team to develop and deliver agreed activities and results.
- Mentor EHS&T Officers in incident investigations, risk assessments, and project work.
- Conduct deep dives on EHST data to identify/implement risk reduction opportunities.
- Promote available technologies to improve EHST reporting and outcomes.
- Relevant work experience in EHS.
- Relevant Qualifications in Occupational Health and Safety or equivalent.
- Experience working across the resource industry and related sectors.
- Proven ability to organise competing demands and priorities.
- Analytical thinking with the ability to interpret data and initiate recommendations.
- Strong stakeholder engagement and communication skills.
