Senior Aircraft Maintenance Manager Opportunity

We are seeking a seasoned professional with expertise in aviation maintenance to fill the role of Senior Aircraft Maintenance Manager. This position offers a unique opportunity to lead a team of experienced technicians and engineers, driving excellence in aircraft maintenance and training.

The successful candidate will oversee the ramp-up and preparedness of sovereign capability in Townsville, working closely with stakeholders to deliver outstanding outcomes. They will also manage personnel recruitment and onboarding, mandatory training, site access, leave, time accounting, and on-the-job skilling for apprentices and aircraft workers.

Responsibilities:
  • Lead the ramp-up and preparedness of sovereign capability in Townsville.
  • Manage personnel recruitment and onboarding, mandatory training, site access, leave, time accounting, and on-the-job skilling for apprentices and aircraft workers.
  • Provide leadership and management to our trainees, driving exceptional performance and results.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to integrate efforts and deliver outstanding outcomes.

Requirements:
  • Formal qualifications in either Part 145 Aviation Maintenance Organisation and/or Part 147 Aviation Maintenance Training Organisation.
  • Military Aircraft Maintenance Licence with supervisory exclusion removed.
  • Excellent communication skills to effectively communicate between stakeholders of differing cultural backgrounds and experience.
  • Business acumen to ensure prioritisation and pragmatic deconfliction of stakeholder competing needs.
