Aircraft Technical Specialist Position

A technical professional is sought to support the Chinook Integrated Support Services Program as a Rotary-Wing Aircraft Technical Specialist. The position will be based at RAAF Base Townsville in tropical North Queensland.
The ideal candidate will possess extensive knowledge and experience in conducting and supervising the maintenance, modification, and troubleshooting of aircraft systems, ensuring compliance with regulatory standards.
Key responsibilities include performing various maintenance activities, certifying work, and mentoring junior technicians to develop a skilled workforce in a challenging and rewarding environment.
- Maintenance activities will include ensuring all tasks are completed in accordance with approved procedures, safety protocols, and industry best practices.
- The successful candidate will be required to hold Cert IV in Aeroskills (Mechanical) and a DASR Part 66 Military Aircraft Maintenance Licence (MAML) - Category B1.3, preferably with CH47F Type Rating.
It is essential to have proven knowledge of Aviation Quality Assurance (QA) procedures and the DASR 145 Aircraft Maintenance Regulatory Framework.

- Proven capacity to adapt to changing priorities and deadlines while maintaining high levels of productivity and quality.
