Workers Compensation Specialist

Job Description

This position encompasses a broad spectrum of responsibilities, including provision of guidance and support to clients with workers compensation claims, management of cases from initial reporting through to finalisation, and development and maintenance of strong relationships with clients, employers, and other stakeholders.

The successful candidate will have the opportunity to utilise their expertise in Workers Compensation and further develop their skills in a fast-paced environment. They will work closely with clients, employers, and other stakeholders to ensure that workers compensation cases are managed effectively and efficiently.

Key Responsibilities
  • Developing and implementing effective case management strategies
  • Conducting thorough investigations and gathering evidence to support or oppose claims
  • Providing expert witness testimony in court proceedings
  • Ensuring compliance with relevant legislation and regulations
  • Maintaining accurate records and reports
Required Skills and Qualifications

The ideal candidate will possess comprehensive knowledge of NSW workers compensation legislation and SIRA guidelines, as well as excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills. A prominent level of organisation, attention to detail, and confidentiality is also essential.

Previous experience in the NSW workers compensation scheme or self-insurance is highly desirable, along with a Certificate IV in Personal Injury Management, Return to Work Coordination, or similar qualification. Proficiency in Microsoft Office and claims management systems is also required.
