Job Opportunity

We are seeking an experienced Duty Manager to join our Front Office team in a full-time capacity.

About the Role

The successful candidate will be responsible for actively resolving guest complaints and challenges, leading by example when attending to guest requests, compiling and checking daily record sheets, guest accounts, receipts and vouchers using Opera Cloud, and assisting food and beverage department during all day services where required.

Key Responsibilities
  • Resolve guest complaints and challenges in a professional manner
  • Lead by example when attending to guest requests, being proactive and resourceful
  • Compile and check daily record sheets, guest accounts, receipts and vouchers
  • Assist food and beverage department during all day services
  • Reply to guest reviews on OTA and social networks
  • Perform general front office administration duties
  • Complete daily accounting data entry and reconciliation
  • Develop and motivate the Front Office team
  • Act as a role model for the Front Office team
Requirements
  • Experience in a similar role within a 4 to 5-star hotel environment
  • Exceptional customer service skills, communication, presentation and time management skills
  • Previous experience with a property management and point of sales system preferably Opera and MICROS
  • A friendly and outgoing personality
  • A willingness to use initiative and strong problem solving skills
  • Strong analytical skills with a high level of computer literacy and accuracy
  • Attention to detail and understanding of basic accounting processes
  • A strong background knowledge in both Front Office and Reservations
  • Senior First Aid Certificate
  • Responsible Service of Alcohol (RSA)
  • Availability to work across a rotating roster including weekends, public holidays, early mornings, late evenings, and overnight shifts as required
  • Unlimited work rights in Australia
