Service Operations Manager

We are seeking a highly skilled Service Operations Manager to join our team at Komatsu Australia Pty Ltd. This role plays a pivotal part in managing service-related tasks, overseeing day-to-day Workshop operations, maintaining a positive workplace culture, and building strong team morale, as well as ensuring the highest level of customer satisfaction.
This position requires a strong understanding of Machinery and Heavy Diesel mechanics to mentor and lead our apprentices in the workshop. The Service Operations Manager will work closely with the Health, Safety, and Environment (HSE) team to uphold our safety standards and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives.
Key Responsibilities- Implement Strategies for Service Excellence: Develop and implement strategies to reduce rework and improve overall service quality.
- Service Delivery and Invoicing: Ensure timely invoicing of Work in Progress (WIP) and manage WIP write-offs.
- Team Development and Collaboration: Identify and implement training and development opportunities for team members to enhance their skills and knowledge.
- Facilitate Team Collaboration and Encouragement: Drive team collaboration and ensure an encouraging and positive work culture.
- Estimation and Quote Management: Facilitate timely completion of estimations and quotes to enhance customer experience.
- Champion Safe Work Practices: Champion safe work practices, aiming for a zero-harm environment.
- Service Key Performance Indicators (KPIs): Oversee service KPIs and strive for excellence.

We are looking for a candidate with:
- Previous Experience: Previous experience in a workshop or service supervisor/manager position.
- Industry Experience: Previous industry experience in the mining/construction or heavy equipment industry.
- Communication Skills: Sound communication skills both written and oral.
- Leadership Skills: Proven leadership, interpersonal, and team-building skills.
- Safety Commitment: Strong commitment to safety and adherence to HSE standards.
- Task Management: Demonstrated ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize effectively.
- Financial Management: Understanding of financial management principles.
- Trade Qualification: A trade-qualified background is advantageous.
