Business Development Manager

We are seeking an experienced Business Development Manager to join our team at IQVIA in Melbourne, Australia. This role involves securing and retaining business through targeted sales activities with existing and potential clinical sponsors.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Actively seek new business opportunities and cultivate strong relationships with key decision-makers.
  • Maintain a robust knowledge of all IQVIA services for cross-selling and identify customer needs by proposing appropriate strategies or solutions.
  • Lead sales presentations, manage vendors, and possess deep operational knowledge to adapt strategies and tactics to meet client demands and financial targets.
  • Establish and execute comprehensive sales plans for each target account and record all customer sales-related activities in our CRM system.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's Degree in business, science, or a related discipline.
  • Demonstrated experience in solution-based sales methodology.
  • 7+ years of work experience in the CRO / Pharmaceutical industry.
  • Deep understanding of clinical operations and drug development.
  • Excellent Business/Industry awareness and a thorough understanding of biotech and pharma industry trends and their impact on the business.
  • Analytical skills in assessing and interpreting customer business data, with a focus on clinical trial and industry knowledge.
