About Alma Nove

We are seeking an experienced and passionate Assistant Manager to join our launch team at Alma Nove, a fine dining restaurant located in Manly beach.

Estimated Salary: $60,000 - $80,000 per year

This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who wants to be part of a growing company with multiple brands. As an Assistant Manager at Alma Nove, you will have the chance to work independently and as part of a team, taking direction and leading by example.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage functions and private events, ensuring seamless execution and exceptional customer experience;
  • Foster relationships with guests and staff, promoting a positive and welcoming atmosphere;
  • Monitor sales and inventory, identifying areas for improvement and implementing strategies to drive growth;
  • Recruit, train, and develop talented individuals to become future leaders within the business;
  • Maintain high standards of service quality, adhering to company policies and procedures;
  • Work collaboratively with other departments to achieve business objectives;
  • Stay up-to-date with current F&B trends, wine knowledge, and hospitality best practices.

Requirements:

  • Previous experience in an assistant management position, preferably in a fine dining or wine venue;
  • Strong knowledge of wines, spirits, and current F&B trends;
  • Ability to manage costs, productivity, and sales goals, with a focus on exceeding targets;
  • Passion for recruiting, training, and developing talent, with a willingness to mentor and coach staff members;
  • Availability to work Monday-Sunday shifts, with rotating hours to accommodate different schedules;
  • Flexibility to adapt to changing situations and priorities, while maintaining a calm and composed demeanor;
  • Demonstrated commitment to delivering excellent customer service, with a focus on creating memorable experiences;
  • Proficient in lightspeed (or similar POS systems) and Open Table (or similar online booking systems).
