Job Overview

This position is responsible for efficiently operating the food and beverage service function to guarantee total customer satisfaction while meeting departmental targets and expectations.

As a key member of our team, you will be expected to ensure efficient, friendly, and professional food & beverage service is provided to all guests. Familiarize yourself with VIP and regular guests to ensure their requests and needs are met.

You will set up systems to protect and maintain control of food service equipment, correctly recording breakages and carry out regular stock takes. Additionally, you will set up and maintain a weekly cleaning schedule for the food service areas to achieve the highest possible hygiene and cleaning standards.

You must be knowledgeable of and operate within appropriate outlet and hotel liquor licensing guidelines and House Management Policies. Maintaining currency of Responsible Service of Alcohol (RSA) certification, amendments, and updates, adhering to RSA principles is also essential.

Greet and welcome guests, assist with enquiries and restaurant bookings. Assist guests with menu offerings and maximize sales opportunities through knowledge of product and suggestive selling. Effectively take orders, ensuring accuracy by repeating order(s) to the guests, dockets written clearly and correctly input into the point of sale system.

Check ordered meals on collection from kitchen and deliver to guests promptly to maintain temperature and appearance; ensure items are announced.

Assist with preparation of rosters, ensuring that suitable and cost-effective employee levels are maintained at all times. Rosters to be authorized by appropriate department head.

We seek a service-oriented individual with attention to detail. Multicultural awareness and the ability to work with people from diverse cultures are essential.

You should be able to work independently and demonstrate initiative in a dynamic environment. Self-motivation, energy, confident, and articulate communication, negotiation, leadership, relationship, and networking skills are highly valued.

Strong interpersonal skills, enabling effective communication with all levels of team members, are necessary. Flexibility and the ability to adapt effectively to change are also crucial.

Qualifications

A minimum of 2 years of relevant experience in a food and beverage outlet, with prior experience as a supervisor being a must. Having Responsible Service of Alcohol certificate is required.

Strong knowledge of various beverages, including beer, wine, spirits, and cocktails, is essential. Micros knowledge is desirable.

Salary and Benefits

The estimated salary range for this position is between $65,000-$80,000 per annum, depending on experience.
