Investment Services Operations Specialist: A Key Role

At Mercer Pacific, we are seeking a talented individual to join our Investment Services team.

This is a hybrid role that requires working at least three days a week in the office. As an Investment Services Operations Specialist, you will be responsible for managing risk and governance within the team by identifying operational risks, implementing controls, and promoting best practices.

  • Key Responsibilities:
  • Manage incidents from start to finish, participate in risk training, provide training to colleagues, and represent the team in risk management meetings.
  • Assist with fund establishment, terminations, and investment manager transitions, including communication with custodians and other teams to plan, execute, and review product changes.
  • Oversee corporate and class actions, stale price reviews, and coordinate with third-party service providers to ensure timely and accurate reporting.
  • Collaborate with internal teams such as Risk & Compliance, Internal Audit, and Vendor Management to ensure controls are robust and processes are compliant.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, law, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in the Financial Services industry, preferably with experience in investment operations, fund management, or custodial services.
  • Strong understanding of Australian financial services regulations, especially related to superannuation.
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across teams.
  • Proven ability to manage multiple tasks and projects while meeting deadlines.
