We are seeking an experienced professional to join our team as a Financial Services Governance Specialist. This role involves working with major financial institutions to deliver improvements to their risk, regulatory and compliance outcomes in a fast-paced environment.
Job DescriptionKey Responsibilities:
- Developing risk management strategies for financial services clients to drive compliance and strengthen existing processes and controls;
- Leading internal audit engagements and managing relationships at the account level;
- Partnering with clients on large transformation programs to mitigate regulatory and compliance risks;
- Identifying priority areas of risk and process improvement by understanding client strategy, objectives, risks, control frameworks, systems and regulatory environments;
- Helping clients navigate an evolving risk and regulatory landscape by developing and executing test plans, identifying control effectiveness and improvements, and reporting these to clients in an impactful way.
About You:
- You will have 6+ years of experience working with major financial institutions (preferably banking), with experience working on large-scale transformation programs;
- You will be comfortable managing the relationship at the account level and leading internal audit engagements;
- You will have a strong understanding of the financial services regulatory environment and be able to advise organisations on strengthening their compliance with regulatory obligations and controls environment to mitigate key risks faced;
- You will have good communication, presentation, project management and time-management skills, and be able to handle project delivery in a fast-paced environment;
- You will be collaborative, enjoy working in an innovative environment, and be a problem solver by nature.
