Job Overview

This is a senior leadership position within our organization. The successful candidate will lead the development of our products and ensure they meet customer needs.

Key Responsibilities:

  • To act as a product subject matter expert for the duration of the project, providing strategic guidance and oversight.
  • To support and coach other subject matter experts in product management skills, ensuring a high level of expertise across the team.
  • To design solution components that meet scope and associated parameters, ensuring fit-for-purpose at each stage.
  • To collaborate with vendors to support best practice design of solutions that meet AEC standards.
  • To liaise with program design leads to ensure alignment with overall design direction.
  • To work closely with technical project leads to ensure design requirements are met and understood.
  • To facilitate internal stakeholder engagement related to design of system components.
  • To collaborate with organizational change managers to ensure alignment.
  • To provide support for UAT execution requirements as needed.
  • To identify risks and issues, providing support for mitigation where needed.

Mandatory Criteria:

  • Significant experience in product development in a supervisory capacity, preferably in a product owner or product manager position.
  • Strong networking skills and ability to work collaboratively with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Previous vendor management and engagement experience.
  • Proven ability to communicate effectively while responding to stakeholder needs and expectations across a geographically dispersed network.
  • Ability to manage client/business expectations while achieving outcomes.
  • Demonstrated personal integrity while achieving results within legislative and policy parameters.

Desirable criteria:

  • Relevant tertiary qualifications in a related field.
  • Knowledge of Australian electoral law and practice.
Requirements

The ideal candidate will have significant experience in product development in a supervisory capacity, strong networking skills, and previous vendor management experience.
