Mirvac, a pioneering Australian property group, seeks a visionary leader to drive its Health, Safety, and Environment (HSE) strategy.

As Group General Manager, HSE, you will spearhead the implementation of Mirvac's comprehensive HSE approach, ensuring a proactive and influential leadership style that fosters a culture of inclusivity, innovation, and collaboration.

About the Role

Responsibilities include:

  • Developing and executing Mirvac's HSE strategy, incorporating physical and psychological health and safety, and major hazards management.
  • Ensuring the Group's HSE Management System is continuously improved, aligned with strategic priorities, and compliant with legislative requirements.
  • Fostering a strong cross-divisional HSE community, promoting a caring culture, and partnering with HR and operational businesses on psychosocial hazard management.
  • Monitoring external and internal trends, data, and events to anticipate and lead an appropriate Mirvac response.

You will report to senior executives and present quarterly HSE papers to the Health, Safety, Environment, and Sustainability Committee, Executive Leadership Team, and Mirvac Board.

A competitive salary in the range of AU$180,000 - AU$220,000 per annum, reflecting your experience and qualifications, will be offered to the successful candidate.

Requirements

To succeed in this role, you will need:

  • Professional qualifications and significant experience in managing a health, safety, and environment function for a large, complex organisation.
  • Experience working with FTSE or ASX-listed companies and familiarity with construction, real estate, development, or related industries.
  • Strong risk management acumen, technical expertise, and a deep understanding of health, safety, environment, and wellbeing practices.
