Job Title: Food and Beverage Host & Marketing Coordinator

Hyatt Regency Brisbane is seeking a highly motivated and customer-focused Food and Beverage Host & Marketing Coordinator to join our team. As a key member of our hospitality team, you will be responsible for delivering exceptional guest experiences and promoting our food and beverage offerings.

About the Role

This dynamic role involves hosting our guests with service excellence in Hibiscus Bar and Terrace, managing reservations and enquiries, and participating in marketing meetings to generate creative activations and promotions. You will have the opportunity to develop your professional hospitality career within an international company.

Responsibilities
  • Work as the Host in Hibiscus Bar & Terrace as required for events, specifically Wednesday, Thursday, Friday & Saturday afternoons/evenings
  • Be the key champion and contact for assisting with securing, converting and managing all F&B Restaurant & Bar bookings under 20 guests
  • Handle all guest and internal customers and inquiries in a courteous and efficient manner, following through to make sure problems are resolved satisfactorily, raising issues to leaders immediately for quick turnaround
  • Manage the booking process for all FIT special event F&B dates including but not limited to Easter, Christmas, Melbourne Cup, Valentine's Day, Mothers/Father's Day and Brunch events.
  • Assist the Food and Beverage Management team to plan and coordinate promotions
  • Management of Table Check – updating reservations and responding to enquiries
  • Ensure all social events are set up and relevant colleagues are briefed prior to guest arrival
  • Provide HACCP administration support to Food and Beverage leadership (including Executive Chef)
  • Supported by Sales & Events Executives; working to create and organise all F&B collateral as required including but not limited to menus, signage, food labels, and dietary requirements
  • Ensure opening and closing checklists are followed for set up and pack down of the Terrace
Requirements
  • Previous experience providing excellent service across any industry (eg, retail, administration, or food and beverage)
  • Ability to work outside of traditional business hours in line with hotel operations
  • High level of grooming and personal presentation
  • Ability to promote teamwork and collaboration
  • Proven initiative and resourcefulness
  • High level of both written and verbal communication
  • Flexibility to work a variety of shifts, specifically Wednesday, Thursday, Friday and Saturday afternoon/evenings
  • Unrestricted working rights in Australia
