Student Experience Specialist

We are seeking a highly motivated and positive individual to join our team in Brisbane for six months.

Role
  • Deliver an exceptional student experience, guiding students through their student life cycle, providing pastoral care, and ensuring overall welfare.
  • Work closely with other members across the campus and business to deliver the ultimate student experience.

The Student Experience Specialist will be responsible for creating a supportive and engaged community between staff and students, providing excellent customer service, advice, guidance, and support to students regarding programs and services.

Responsibilities
  1. Be the face of Kaplan Australia and the first point of contact for all students studying on campus, responding professionally and accurately to student inquiries.
  2. Provide direction and advice on a student's study progress and performance, including attendance, welfare, and transitional arrangements for new students.
  3. Counsel students regarding study progression, load, and non-academic minor personal issues, utilizing professional counseling organizations when appropriate.
  4. Coordinate and deliver major functions and events at the campus, including orientation and graduation.
  5. Advise applicants, agents, academic, and general staff of the school, and external agencies about procedures and services.
  6. Represent Kaplan at events and industry networking events.
  7. Organize social events, networking opportunities, information sessions, and guest speaker forums both on campus and externally.
Requirements
  • Affable communication style with experience across various key stakeholders.
  • Ability to plan, control, coordinate, and manage activities with minimal supervision.
  • Knowledge of relevant legislation, policies, and procedures.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office products.
  • Conflict resolution skills.
  • A self-starter with accuracy and strong attention to detail.
  • Demonstrated excellent customer service skills and interpersonal skills.
