About the Role

As the Industry Liaison Officer, you will play a crucial role in supporting the delivery of the School Based Apprenticeship program by managing partnerships with businesses and industry stakeholders. Your focus will be on building networks and collaborating with industry groups to promote School Based Apprenticeships as valuable career pathways for secondary students.

This is a temporary part-time position at 0.83 FTE, working 60 hours per fortnight, for 12 months unless otherwise specified.

Your Responsibilities

As the Industry Liaison Officer, your responsibilities include:

  • Providing administrative support in the Senior Schooling space, including data management with Queensland Curriculum and Assessment Authority (QCAA), student tracking for Queensland Certificate of Education (QCE), attendance, and other duties.
  • Sourcing Australian School Based Apprenticeships and Traineeships, actively seeking student placement opportunities in industry and apprenticeship programs.
  • Promoting the benefits of School Based Apprenticeships to employers and stakeholders, positioning them as preferred career pathways for students.
  • Developing and maintaining relationships with employers, training providers, and support agencies.
  • Building partnerships between schools and employers to facilitate student transitions to employment and career decision-making.
  • Identifying vocational training opportunities for students through transition to work programs.
