About the Role

Job Title: Senior Manager, Organisational Resilience

We're seeking a senior manager to lead our organisational resilience efforts, ensuring our long-term sustainability and success.

This is a rare and influential leadership opportunity that presents direct engagement with senior executives, including the Vice-Chancellor, Provost, and Chief Operating Officer.

You will provide strategic leadership in business resilience, guiding the development and implementation of integrated risk management strategies that enhance our ability to withstand and recover from internal and external events.

  • Key Responsibilities:
  • Provision of expert advice, support and coordination to executive leadership in the event of a critical incident, including post-incident evaluation and continuous improvement.
  • Development and implementation of best practice critical incident management governance, processes and tools including training and exercise coordination in collaboration with relevant functions.
  • Development and implementation of a business resilience framework, delivery of training, facilitation of desk-top exercises and scenarios and the development of business continuity plans for high-risk facilities and functions, faculties, schools, institutes and controlled entities.
  • Ongoing implementation of the incident management framework including central support and integration of emergency management and detailed response plans for high-risk 'foreseeable' events.
  • Enhancing management's business resilience awareness, knowledge and capabilities by providing expert advice in relation to the management and coordination of disaster recovery planning and business continuity planning.
  • Assisting faculties, institutes and divisions with business impact analysis, identifying time-critical functions, determining acceptable recovery timeframes to develop practical business continuity plans and incident management plans.
