Job Summary

This senior role is focused on enhancing organisational resilience through the development and implementation of business continuity frameworks, policies, and tools.

The successful candidate will lead business resilience and continuity initiatives, setting requirements for Critical Operations and providing expert advice and assurance on regulatory compliance and risk management.

A key responsibility will be to drive training and awareness programs to promote a strong resilience culture within the organisation.

Additionally, the Business Resilience Strategy Leader will collaborate with senior management and mentor team members to achieve business objectives and lead crisis response efforts to enhance organisational resilience.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and Implement Business Continuity Frameworks: Design and implement business continuity frameworks, policies, and tools to enhance organisational resilience.
  • Set Resilience Requirements: Establish and manage resilience requirements for Critical Operations to ensure business continuity.
  • Risk Management and Regulatory Compliance: Provide expert advice and assurance on regulatory compliance and risk management, ensuring alignment with relevant prudential regulatory frameworks.
  • Resilience Culture Development: Drive training and awareness programs to promote a strong resilience culture within the organisation.
  • Crisis Response and Recovery: Lead crisis response efforts to enhance organisational resilience and embed lessons learned to improve business continuity.
Requirements
  • Tertiary Qualification: Relevant tertiary qualification in a related field, such as business, law, finance, or IT.
  • Operational Risk Experience: 5+ years' experience in operational risk and/or operational resilience roles within a financial services environment.
  • Risk Management Principles: Strong understanding of insurance operations and risk management principles.
  • Regulatory Frameworks: Demonstrated experience with risk and control frameworks and prudential regulatory frameworks.
  • Communication Skills: Proven ability to communicate complex ideas to senior stakeholders.
