We are seeking a strategic leader to oversee our business resilience initiatives. The successful candidate will provide expert guidance and support to executive leadership in times of crisis, helping to evaluate and improve our response.

The role involves developing and implementing integrated risk management strategies, as well as training and exercising critical incident management governance, processes and tools. This includes working with relevant functions to develop business continuity plans for high-risk facilities and functions, faculties, schools, institutes and controlled entities.

The selected individual will also be responsible for enhancing management's awareness, knowledge and capabilities in relation to disaster recovery planning and business continuity planning. This includes assisting faculties, institutes and divisions with business impact analysis, identifying time-critical functions and determining acceptable recovery timeframes.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Providing expert advice and coordination to executive leadership in the event of a critical incident
  • Developing and implementing best practice critical incident management governance, processes and tools
  • Developing and implementing a business resilience framework, delivering training and facilitating desk-top exercises and scenarios
  • Ongoing implementation of the incident management framework including central support and integration of emergency management and detailed response plans
  • Enhancing management's business resilience awareness, knowledge and capabilities through expert advice on disaster recovery planning and business continuity planning
  • Assisting faculties, institutes and divisions with business impact analysis, identifying time-critical functions and determining acceptable recovery timeframes
