Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Field Officer to join our team in Employment, Small Business and Training. This is an exciting opportunity to work with us in shaping and elevating Queensland's workforce to meet the evolving needs of our industries.

The successful candidate will provide leadership, support and advice to industry partners, client groups and stakeholders on regional programs and services administered by the department.

  • Provide high-quality, well-researched advice, interpretation and feedback to senior managers, colleagues, clients and stakeholders on a wide range of issues impacting Queensland's vocational education and training system (VET).
  • Evaluate compliance with relevant legislation, directives and policies by investigating issues and complaints, gathering data, and preparing accurate reports and other documentation.
  • Lead, mentor and coach staff to enhance their skills and knowledge, ensuring development activities are aligned to achieving performance benchmarks.
Required Skills and Qualifications

  • Strong research and analysis skills to deliver evidence-based recommendations on issues related to regional services and programs.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate effectively with diverse stakeholders, clients and customers across the VET system.
