Safety and Risk Management Specialist

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Safety, Training and Wellbeing Manager to join our team at Linfox. As a key member of our leadership team, you will play a critical role in shaping our safety culture and ensuring the well-being of our employees.
Key Responsibilities- Develop and implement a comprehensive safety, health and wellbeing strategy that aligns with our business objectives.
- Partner with senior leaders to drive a culture of safety and wellbeing across the organization.
- Conduct risk assessments and develop mitigation strategies to minimize hazards and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
- Provide coaching and training to employees on safety and wellbeing best practices.
- Embed a culture of continuous learning and improvement, identifying opportunities for growth and development.
- Manage and maintain our safety management system, ensuring compliance with legislative and self-insurance requirements.
- Report and present on safety and wellbeing performance, trends and outcomes.
- Proven experience in a safety, health and wellbeing role, with a strong understanding of risk management and compliance.
- Excellent coaching and training skills, with the ability to influence and engage stakeholders at all levels.
- Strong leadership and communication skills, with the ability to drive cultural change and embed a safety-first mindset.
- Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams to achieve business objectives.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify and mitigate risks.
- Knowledge of legislative requirements and regulatory frameworks.
