Safety and Training Manager

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced professional to join our team as the Safety, Training and Wellbeing Manager. As a key member of our senior leadership team, you will play a critical role in driving our safety evolution and promoting a culture of care, trust, and inclusion.
Key Responsibilities- Partner with the leadership team to develop and execute the safety, health, and wellbeing plan, ensuring a risk-based approach to identifying and controlling every day and critical risks.
- Actively support and promote the Linfox safety evolution journey, focusing on strengthening our safety culture and embedding health and wellbeing practices.
- Facilitate 4Ds and STKY sessions to encourage our team to find better and safer ways to work, and provide direction and support for serious incident investigations.
- Manage the safety system and auditing to ensure compliance with legislative and self-insurance requirements, and report and present on performance, trends, and outcomes.
- Coach and develop the capability of the Safety, Health, and Wellbeing team, and create a mentally healthy workplace by educating and addressing psychosocial risks.
- Risk: Proven understanding of risk identification, assessment, and management.
- Coaching: Experience in coaching or training, with the ability to influence across a broad range of stakeholders.
- Culture: Experience in building a strong team-based culture.
- Safety: Experience in a safety role within a dynamic, high-risk environment.
- Health and Wellbeing: Genuine interest and experience in health and wellness.
- Compliance: Understanding of legislative responsibilities and the regulatory environment for WHS.
- Learning: Keen interest in continuous learning and the ability to share learnings with others.
- Enthusiasm and Passion: Energy and enthusiasm for getting things done, with a passion for partnering with leaders to guide and influence.
