Key Responsibilities- Develop and implement a comprehensive safety, health and wellbeing strategy, aligned with Linfox's values and goals.
- Partner with senior leaders to plan, develop and execute the safety, health and wellbeing plan.
- Drive the Linfox safety evolution by coaching and mentoring others to increase knowledge, ownership and engagement in safety, health and wellbeing.
- Ensure the business takes a risk-based approach to identifying and controlling everyday and critical risks.
- Facilitate 4Ds and STKY sessions to help our team find better and safer ways to work.
- Provide direction and support for serious incident investigations, focusing on learning, improvement and implementing risk controls.
- Embed health and wellbeing, with a focus on general health, nutrition, fitness and fatigue.
- Create a mentally healthy workplace by educating and addressing psychosocial risks.
- Manage the safety system and auditing to ensure compliance with legislative and self-insurance requirements.
- Report and present on performance, trends and outcomes.
- Coach and develop the capability of the Safety, Health and Wellbeing team.
- Risk management: Understanding of how to identify, assess and manage risk.
- Coaching: Experience in coaching or training, with the ability to talk, listen and influence across a broad range of stakeholders.
- Culture: Experience in building a strong 'team-based' culture.
- Safety: Experience in a safety role within a dynamic, high-risk environment.
- Health and wellbeing: Genuine interest and experience in health and wellness.
- Compliance: Understanding of legislative responsibilities and the regulatory environment for WHS.
- Learning: Keen interest in continuous learning and the ability to share learnings with others.
- Enthusiasm and passion: We want people who are happy to get their hands dirty, but equally happy to discuss and partner with leaders to guide and influence.
