With a strong reputation and established relationships with high-profile clients, the company is seeking a dedicated WHS Officer to manage and implement workplace Health and Safety plans in their Sydney NSW division.

About the Role

As the WHS Officer, you will report directly to the Safety Manager and Project Director to advocate safe work practices. You will monitor operations to eliminate hazardous activities, develop policies to promote occupational health and safety awareness, and collaborate with managers to monitor compliance and identify safety issues.

Key Responsibilities

  • Advise on provisions to minimise safety risks and hazards
  • Direct accident investigation procedures
  • Keep records of safety-related incidents and propose corrective actions
  • Collaborate with managers to monitor compliance and identify safety issues

Requirements

  • Minimum Cert IV in OH&S/WHS
  • Proven experience as in a safety officer role
  • Excellent communication and advisory skills
  • Diligent with an analytical mind
