Job Title: WHS Business Partner

We are seeking a highly skilled Work Health and Safety Business Partner to join our team at TEG, a global leader in Live Entertainment, Ticketing, and Technology.

About the Role:

The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring compliance with WHS Regulations, Compliance Codes, and improving WHS standards across the TEG Group. This includes reviewing and auditing workplaces, delivering WHS related training programs, leading incident investigations, and providing advice and support on WHS policies, programs, and practices.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Review and audit workplaces to ensure high standards of compliance
  • Deliver WHS related training programs and coordinate external WHS related training as needed
  • Lead incident investigations, including identification of root causes and development of corrective action strategies
  • Liaise with workers' compensation/insurance companies and manage return to work programs for injured employees/contractors
  • Liaise with management and WorkSafe regarding notifiable incidents
  • Provide monthly and quarterly reporting suitable for the senior leadership team and the board
  • Work with safety contractors to ensure compliance with the group's WHS management system
  • Develop strategies to drive a safety culture
  • Monitor changes in legislation across jurisdictions and update policies and procedures as required

Requirements:

  • Operational experience within a large organization with multi-site requirements
  • Strong interpersonal and language skills (written and verbal)
  • Demonstrable understanding of risk management processes and practical application of WHS, workers' compensation, and other relevant legislative requirements
  • Commitment to maintaining and improving professional standards and knowledge within the WHS profession
  • Cert IV in Work Health and Safety or equivalent (Degree in WHS highly desirable)
  • Cert IV in Training and Assessment (highly desirable)
  • Return to Work Coordinator certifications (highly desirable)
  • Level 2 First Aid qualifications
  • Forklift license (highly desirable)
  • Strong safety system knowledge and demonstrated auditing experience/competency
