Job Overview

The ideal candidate will serve as a technical authority on protection relay portfolios across Australia, providing deep technical expertise and support to customers and internal teams.

Key Responsibilities
  • Technical Authority: Provide expert guidance on protection relays, including technical support, design consultation, and compliance review.
  • Partner with Sales Teams: Collaborate with sales, presales, and channel teams to deliver best-in-class solutions to customers.
  • Lead Technical Training Sessions: Conduct workshops and product demonstrations for internal teams and external stakeholders.
  • Interpret Single-Line Diagrams: Analyze single-line diagrams, coordinate protection studies, and develop optimized relay settings.
  • Support Solution Proposals: Contribute accurate, well-documented technical material to solution proposals.
  • Stay Current with Standards: Stay up-to-date with local and international standards (IEC, ANSI, AS) and contribute to market strategy development.
Requirements
  • Electrical Engineering Degree: A degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent is required.
  • Protection Systems Experience: Minimum 5 to 8 years of experience in protection systems, preferably in the Australian market.
  • Standards Knowledge: Strong knowledge of IEC, ANSI, and Australian protection standards is essential.
  • Relay Platform Experience: Practical experience with Schneider Electric protection relays or equivalent platforms is desired.
  • Communication Skills: Excellent communication skills and stakeholder engagement experience are necessary.
  • Value-Based Selling: Ability to align technical solutions with customer needs and contribute to commercial success.
