The role of Reportable Incidents Officer is a critical position within the organization, responsible for improving Australia's healthcare reform and protecting vulnerable populations.
">This opportunity involves working closely with internal and external stakeholders to educate and train providers about reportable incidents, provide expert advice on trends and issues, and develop productive working relationships.
Key Responsibilities- Contribute to educating and training providers regarding the Commission's reportable incidents function;
- Provide expert advice on trends, issues, and inadequate investigations by providers;
- Develop productive working relationships with internal and external stakeholders;
- Supervise and mentor others;
- Behave in accordance with the values promoted by the Commission;
- Support the implementation of the reportable incidents function;
- Manage a caseload of incident reports;
- Liaise regularly with managers as to the management of caseload.
Applicants must meet the following requirements:
- Australian citizenship and ability to secure AGSVA baseline security clearance;
- Ability to pass Australian federal background checks;
- Experience working in a social service portfolio;
- Ability to communicate with people from diverse cultures and backgrounds;
- Well-developed problem-solving skills;
- Previous experience in a reportable incidents environment;
- Relevant experience in dispute resolution, mediation or conciliation;
- Knowledge of the NDIS Quality and Safeguarding Framework;
- Understanding of the NDIS Act 2013.
