Job Opportunity

This part-time role involves handling and processing all Release of Information (ROI) and Freedom of Information (FOI) requests in a timely and efficient manner, ensuring Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) are met.

The ideal candidate will possess excellent attention to detail, IT skills, and communication skills. They will be responsible for managing incoming telephone calls and written requests from internal and external parties, maintaining medical records in accordance with standard operating procedures, and providing general reception and customer service duties.

In addition, the candidate will track the location of all medical records/documents that pass through the department and those known to be located in other departments of the hospital. They will also prepare hardcopy records for scanning and facilitate the timely, efficient, and confidential transfer of medical records or health information to external requesters.

About the Role

You are highly organized, with great attention to detail, and you enjoy the variety that comes from a fast-paced clerical role where priorities can change frequently. Multi-tasking is a natural ability, and you have well-developed IT, written, and verbal communication skills. Previous experience in a Scanning Centre is beneficial but not essential.

Key Responsibilities:
  1. Handle and process all ROI and FOI requests in a timely manner
  2. Manage incoming telephone calls and written requests from internal and external parties
  3. Maintain medical records in accordance with standard operating procedures
  4. Provide general reception and customer service duties
  5. Track the location of all medical records/documents within the department and other hospital departments
  6. Prepare hardcopy records for scanning and transfer medical records or health information to external requesters
