Product Management Expert - Domestic Payments

As a Product Management Expert, you will drive payment usage and conversion through channel engagement, frontline initiatives, process improvement, enhanced reporting, and opportunities to migrate BECS capability.

Responsibilities include obtaining information from various sources to generate meaningful business insights on performance and customer behavior against key objectives. You will also be accountable for driving product performance, continuous improvement, risk buy-down initiatives, and ensuring compliance with regulatory obligations.

Your key responsibilities / focus areas will include:

  • Deep product knowledge for Direct Entry, BPAY, and Cheques, including understanding of relevant scheme requirements.
  • Representing the organization at respective scheme workshops
  • Strong proactive risk management and delivering risk initiatives to strengthen product risk profile.
  • Leading and coaching junior team members, and building overall team capability
  • Delivering product features or process enhancements, including internal and external marketing, communication, and training, and relationship-building activities
  • Monitoring business results of recently introduced or enhanced processes and recommending modifications in product features, process, and marketing approaches to improve results and embed take-up against key objectives
  • Responsible for proactively managing risks associated with the products
  • Building and fostering strong relationships across the product value chain e.g., frontline teams, digital, compliance, risk, and marketing to ensure efficient delivery of product roadmap and resolution of issues
  • Working closely with Product Owners and technology teams to define and document detailed feature business requirements

The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of end-to-end domestic payments processes with sound knowledge of the Financial Services Industry (at least 5 years' experience). The role requires project delivery experience in Product Management, productivity, and process management disciplines with a focus on delivery/project delivery.

A commercially relevant degree is required, and customer engagement experience will be highly regarded. A risk mindset is essential as all employees are expected to proactively identify and understand current and future risks.
