  • Job Type: Full-time Permanent Position

This role requires a highly motivated and skilled Senior Statutory Planner to provide high-level planning advice, undertake complex planning assessments on various development projects across our district, and prepare comprehensive planning reports. You will also assist with planning appeals and development compliance.

About the Role

To be successful in this position, you will need:

  • Formal Qualifications: Urban and Regional Planning or equivalent
  • Comprehensive Knowledge: Planning, Development, and Infrastructure Act 2016 and Regulations
  • Customer Service Skills: Strong track record of delivering excellent customer service
  • Experience: Complex planning assessment in a local or state government role and preparing Council Assessment Panel reports
  • Communication Skills: Well-developed communication skills and proactive attitude to build positive relationships and meet priorities and deadlines
  • Problem-Solving Ability: Logical thinking and problem-solving skills to create a positive customer experience
  • Appeals Management: Experience in managing appeals in the Courts
  • Mentorship: Ability to mentor other team members
