Key Responsibilities
- Lead a range of deliverables, including development approvals, planning scheme amendments, strategy preparation, and provision of strategic advice.
- Play a key role in preparing fee proposals and tender submissions, assessing and reporting on technical documentation, and managing sub-consultants.
- Develop project management, delegation, and supervision skills by managing junior staff members.
- Develop others within the team by sharing knowledge and collaborative work experiences.
- Build on existing stakeholder relationships and networks to achieve positive results for clients.
- Develop a broader skillset by working alongside economists, urban designers, social planners, project managers, and community engagement professionals.
Requirements
- A tertiary qualification in planning or a related field.
- 2-5 years of urban planning experience within a professional services firm or state/local government.
- Well-developed organizational and time management skills, with a flexible and positive attitude to working on multiple projects concurrently.
- An in-depth knowledge of the NSW planning framework and experience preparing strategic frameworks that facilitate robust planning outcomes.
- Excellent communication and writing skills, with the ability to build rapport with clients and other project team members.
- A professional commitment to striving for excellence.
