About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Senior Urbanist-Planner to join our engaged team of urban development professionals. This role suits dynamic and passionate individuals looking to take the next step in their professional careers.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate across various projects and services within diversified portfolios, working as part of multidisciplinary teams.
  • Lead deliverables such as development approvals, planning scheme amendments, strategy preparation, and provision of strategic advice for clients.
  • Prepare fee proposals, assess and report on technical documentation, participate in multi-disciplinary project teams, manage sub-consultants, and deliver projects.
  • Develop skills in project management, delegation, and supervision through managing junior staff members.
  • Share knowledge and collaborative experiences to develop others within the team.
  • Build on existing stakeholder relationships and networks to achieve positive results for clients.
  • Develop a broader skillset by working alongside economists, urban designers, social planners, project managers, and community & stakeholder engagement professionals.

Requirements:

  • Tertiary qualification in Planning or related degree/discipline.
  • 2-5 years of urban planning experience within a professional services firm or state/local government.
  • Well-developed organisational and time management skills, with a flexible and positive attitude to working on concurrent projects.
  • In-depth knowledge of the NSW planning framework and experience preparing strategic frameworks.
  • Excellent communication and writing skills, with the ability to build rapport with clients and project team members.
  • Professional commitment to striving for excellence.

Benefits and Salary Information

We offer competitive salaries based on experience and qualifications. The estimated salary for this role is $120,000 - $180,000 per annum, depending on the individual's background and performance.
