Senior Structural Engineer Opportunity

We are seeking a highly experienced Senior Structural Engineer to join our team. This is an exciting opportunity to work on diverse projects and contribute to the growth and development of our company.

• Perform hands-on engineering investigations, analysis, and assessments">
• Review and sign-off designs and associated documentation prepared by other team members">
• Proactively coordinate and manage project scopes of work, budgets, and delivery schedules">
• Manage relationships with existing clients and develop new business relationships">
• Prepare cost estimates and proposals for new opportunities">
• Implement and promote the company's Integrated Management System (IMS) policies and procedures">
• Play an active role in the business leadership group through regular meetings, workshops, training, and business development activities">

To be successful in this role, you will meet the following essential criteria:

• ">
• Hold a degree qualification in Structural Engineering recognized by Engineers Australia">
• Have relevant industry experience of 7 years or more">
• Be Chartered Professional Engineer (CPEng) qualified by EA with eligibility to obtain RPEQ & RPEV if required">
• Have comprehensive knowledge and proven technical experience in structural steel and reinforced concrete design including AS4100, AS1170, AS3600 etc.">
• Have a strong working knowledge of a range of structural design software packages such as SPACEGASS, IDEA StatiCa, Strand 7 or similar">
• Be able to perform site investigations including structural integrity with risk rating, dilapidation surveys of reinforced concrete and steel structures">
• Have ability to coordinate with multiple engineering disciplines and drafting teams within the company on a project basis">
• Have experience in the application of engineering design guidelines, relevant acts, regulations, and standards">
• Have superior report writing skills">
• Be competent in Microsoft 365">
• Have highly developed interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills">
• Hold a current driver's license">

Structural engineers meeting the following desirable criteria will be considered favorably:

• Demonstrate leadership, business development, and project management skills">
• Be able to control business unit costs and manage budgets">
• Have local consulting experience preferred, however relevant global experience will be considered">
• Hold a valid construction white card for site visits">

Reports To: Group Leader - Civil/Structural Engineering

Location: Our office located in Newcastle
