Established structural engineers are sought after to drive success in our team. This role provides an opportunity for professionals with a proven track record in structural and civil design, analysis, and certification.

The Role

We have an exciting opportunity for senior engineers who have experience in structural design and consulting across heavy industry, mining, or materials handling. If you are eager to contribute to diverse projects and enhance your skills, this role could be yours.

Responsibilities
  1. Conducting hands-on engineering investigations, analysis, and assessments to ensure the highest quality results
  2. Reviewing and verifying designs and associated documentation prepared by other team members
  3. Coordinating project scopes of work, managing budgets, and ensuring timely delivery
  4. Developing and maintaining relationships with existing clients and identifying new business opportunities
  5. Preparing cost estimates and proposals for new opportunities
  6. Implementing and promoting company policies and procedures
  7. Taking an active role in business leadership through regular meetings, workshops, training, and business development activities
Requirements
  • Degree qualification in Structural Engineering, recognized by Engineers Australia
  • Relevant industry experience of 7 years or more
  • Chartered Professional Engineer (CPEng) qualified by EA with eligibility to obtain RPEQ & RPEV if required
  • Comprehensive knowledge and technical expertise in structural steel and reinforced concrete design, including AS4100, AS1170, AS3600 etc
  • A strong working knowledge with a range of structural design software packages such as SPACEGASS, IDEA StatiCa, Strand 7 or similar would be highly regarded
  • Experience in site investigations, including structural integrity risk rating, dilapidation surveys of reinforced concrete and steel structures
  • Ability to coordinate with multiple engineering disciplines and drafting teams within the company on a project basis
  • Experience in applying engineering design guidelines, relevant acts, regulations, and standards
  • Superior report writing skills
  • Competency in Microsoft 365
  • Highly developed interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills
  • Current driver's license

Structural engineers meeting the following desirable criteria will be considered favorably:

  • Demonstrated leadership, business development, and project management skills
  • Ability to manage business unit costs and budget effectively
  • Local consulting experience preferred, however relevant global experience will be considered
  • A valid construction white card for site visits
