Structural Leadership Opportunity

As a Lead Structural Engineer, you will be responsible for overseeing structural design deliverables, ensuring compliance with industry standards, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to achieve project objectives.

Key Responsibilities:
  1. Oversee the completion of structural design deliverables in accordance with established standards and guidelines.
  2. Collaborate with project stakeholders to ensure time and budget objectives are achieved.
  3. Develop and review technical documents and deliverables.
  4. Prepare specifications, design criteria, scope of work, and material take-off lists.
  5. Contribute to the development of engineering proposals and monitor budgets.
  6. Complete tasks under minimal supervision, prioritizing cost, quality, and time objectives.
  7. Maintain open communication with project leaders and team members, providing regular updates on technical activities, staffing, and schedules.
  8. Contribute to the growth and development of the Structural Engineering Team by applying knowledge of industry developments and best practices.
About You

We seek a highly experienced and skilled Lead Structural Engineer to join our organization. The ideal candidate will possess:

  • A Bachelor's degree in structural engineering or a related field.
  • 10+ years' proven experience in engineering consulting or a similar industry, with expertise in steel structures and concrete foundations.
  • Accreditation as a Chartered Engineer (or equivalent) or ability to obtain.
  • Strong design experience in brownfield environments is desirable.
  • Demonstrated experience in client-facing project management roles, leading design teams to deliver project outcomes.
  • Enhanced knowledge of ISO, AS, ANSI, and API standard design codes.
  • Ability to mentor and support the development of structural engineers within our team.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills, both written and verbal.
